About

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with active licenses in Colorado, Texas, and Arkansas. My clinical background includes community mental health, intensive outreach, shelter work, high-acuity crisis care, virtual therapy platforms, and developing an independent practice. I have worked across individual and group settings with clients ranging from children through older adults, with adults as my primary focus. This breadth of experience is something I bring directly into supervision. I can draw from very different clinical environments and levels of acuity when helping a supervisee think through a case, clinical decision, ethical question, or professional challenge. I also bring experience developing community programs and mentoring newer clinicians as they found their footing. Those experiences have reinforced how much I enjoy helping clinicians develop their own judgment, professional style, and clinical voice. I want supervisees to leave supervision not simply knowing what they are “supposed” to do, but increasingly trusting their ability to think critically, make sound decisions, and practice in a way that feels authentic to them. Whether or not we end up working together, I’m genuinely excited for you and where this path takes you. Our field needs engaged, thoughtful practitioners.

Supervision Style

I think good supervision should be a place where you can bring your unfiltered clinical brain. Bring me the case you cannot quite untangle. The intervention you are second-guessing. The client relationship that feels strangely stuck. The ethical question you are worried might be a “stupid question.” The session that went completely sideways. My approach is collaborative, open, and developmental. I am not interested in treating supervision like a weekly pop quiz or handing you a rigid formula for how to practice. Instead, I want us to slow things down, get curious, and figure out what is happening underneath the surface. We can work through cases together, challenge assumptions, consider different perspectives, explore interventions, and talk honestly about what is and is not working. I will offer feedback and gentle challenge when it is useful, while respecting that you are ultimately developing your own clinical voice. I also want supervision to include the parts of being a clinician that do not fit neatly into a treatment plan: boundaries, documentation, professional identity, difficult conversations, uncertainty, caseload stress, and figuring out how to build a sustainable career. My goal is not for you to leave supervision with all the answers. It is for you to become increasingly confident in your ability to find your way through the questions.
