Christine Kersten

I'm Christi Kersten, MA, LPC-S, owner of Ardent Grace Counseling. I provide supervision for LPC Associates working toward licensure in Texas and Alaska. I've worked in mental health for more than 20 years, starting in community settings working with at-risk youth, children with serious mental illness, and foster families. After earning my master's in professional counseling in 2007, I continued serving those populations before opening my Texas private practice, Creekside Christian Counseling in 2011. It was later renamed Ardent Grace Counseling and Teletherapy after moving to Alaska in 2022. Today I'm licensed in Texas and Alaska. I see clients in person in Tomball and via telehealth throughout Texas and Alaska, and I supervise LPC Associates working toward full licensure. Having built and run my own practice across two states, I know firsthand what it takes to go from associate to self-employed clinician. Outside of work, I'm a mother, caregiver, and member of the military community. My two neurodivergent daughters and my own experience rebuilding after the loss of a spouse have shaped how deeply I value resilience, faith and attention to self-care and work-life balance.
