Wendy Radding

Hi, I am pleased to be here. I am a knowledgeable, experienced therapist who very much enjoys nurturing new clinicians. I have a background in providing services to people of all ages and a wide range of issues. I received my MSW in 1997 from Smith College School for Social Work and have worked in the profession since then. My therapeutic style is a"old school" and new methodologies. While techniques are good tools to have, we need to know how and when to apply them and how to pace therapy overall is key. While good education and training is essential, experience is the best teacher when learning to provide therapy. I am an approved clinical supervisor in the state of VA and have provided individual and group supervision. My private practice has been active for almost 25 years. Personal stats: I have been married for 25 years to my high school boyfriend, have one son who just graduated college, one cat and one dog. My hobbies include knitting, performing in musicals and baking.
